My Lush Skin-Savers

Here's a fun fact, even at 29 I still get spells of terrible skin. Usually around my chin, when I've eaten bad (good) food or currently I am taking Biotin for my hair which is known to break out skin if you don't drink enough water. I usually drink between 2 - 4 litres of water a day but I have been struggling recently for some reason!

My absolute favourite face mask from Lush has to be Mask of Magnaminty, I have mentioned it in my blog previously but I decided to give something else a go on a recent trip to Edinburgh.

As I have moaned about many, many times before I do not have a bath at home so when we stayed at a hotel in Scotland that had a bath I decided to treat myself to a Lush bathbomb (Fizzbanger) & a facemask.

I picked Cosmetic Warrior which is used to 'combat troublesome spots, cleanses and cools the skin'. Perfect for those horrible painful spots that seem to appear from nowhere. The mask is made with tea tree oil, garlic, grapes and free range eggs. I am actually suprised to read there is garlic in this mask as you cannot smell it at all, I think the tea tree must over power that. The consistancy is super thick and kind of reminds me of porridge? gross but nothing too horrible! I have used this mask a few times since purchasing it and I really feel like it makes a difference to my skin. I love that it has a cooling element as quite often the spots I get can be quite sore. My angry red spots seem a lot calmer after using this (same effect with Mask of Magnaminty!)

Next up, my mother purchased Catastrophe Cosmetic and of course I had to pinch some to try out. The smell is AMAZING - genuinely wanted to taste it. It is made from blueberries, calamine powder, rose and almond oils. The consistancy is also quite thick with chunks of blueberries. This mask was perfect for my mother as she gets quite dry skin and this leaves your skin feeling so clean and soft!

Everything I try from Lush seems to be a winner. I have my eyes on their scalp treatment Roots next, my scalp can get really dry in this weather so I am hoping this is as good as their face masks.

What are your favourites from Lush? Please share in the comments!
