My Protein Haul

Hey y'aallll! I am finally getting round to updating my blog - I've been slacking but have decided to focus on the fitness side now which is what I enjoy the most.

So, I thought I'd share my recent MyProtein purchases. I usually go with LDNM which are great but there was a sale on MyProtein through January so that's the main reason I went with them.

My goal at the moment is to grow some muscle, when nosing on the website I came across the 'Woman's Build Muscle Bundle' which includes the following:

Impact Whey Protein – 1kg
At the heart of the bundle comes the prestigious Impact Whey Protein, the UK’s #1 Whey Protein. Not only does this great tasting shake offer 20g of protein per serving, it also contains a comprehensive amino acid profile providing over 2g of Leucine per serving. Impact Whey Protein is a fast absorbing protein, therefore an essential post-workout supplement.
MYPRE™, Blue Raspberry
Next on the list is MYPRE™, an explosive pre-workout formula that provides a number of key ingredients which synergistically work together to improve performance*. MYPRE™ contains all the pre-workout essentials including BCAA 2:1:1 and a combination of creatines, making it perfect when on the go.
Creatine Monohydrate tablets
To help improve strength and power we have included Creatine. A perfectly safe supplement that has been scientifically proven to increase physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high intensity exercise making it not only ideal for beginners but for those who participate in sports such as powerlifting, sprinting or rugby.
BCAA plus  tablets
To assist the above, we have included BCAA. A combination of Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine in a 2:1:1 ratio. They are all essential amino acids which mean they cannot be synthesised by the body and therefore must be obtained from dietary sources.
CLA capsules
To complement the above, we have included CLA, a product that provides 1000mg of conjugated linoleic acid per soft gel. Derived from Safflower oil, CLA contain naturally occurring fatty acids that are mainly found in foods such as cheese, milk, lamb and beef.
Active Women  tablets
To ensure your training never stops, we have added Active Women, a comprehensive multi-vitamin designed specifically for active women. Active Women provides a mix of vitamins and minerals that will contribute to a healthy immune system.
This bundle is on sale for £56.54 (total worth £87.74, saving £31.20) I also used a code that was available taking the cost down to £33 (I think)!

When you receive the bundle it is quite overwhelming if you are pretty new to these types of supplements. I've spent so long googling what's best to take, when to take it etc... it can all get quite confusing for newbies like myself!

My routine at the moment is -

Breakfast, 1 x active women tablet & 1 x green tea tablet

Lunch, 2 x CLA & 1 x Flaxseed tablet

Before Gym / Fitness Class, 2 x creatine tablets

Dinner, 1 x active women tablet

There is also a guide available to download here

It's important to remember that supplements aren't a necessity. You can acheive your goals simply through eating right and working out but I like to use them just as an extra boost.

I am trying to incorporate more heavy lifting in to my gym routine. I've been obsessed with watching youtube videos - trying to get ideas & tips on weight lifting - it can be so intimidating when you first start (especially when there are dudes in the gym!).
